Dr. Dickson graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto in 1979. He has been practicing in the greater Vancouver area ever since. For most of his practice career, he has served his profession and community in the capacity of director and president of both the BC Chiropractic Association and Chiropractic Regulatory Board (College of Chiropractors of BC ) while maintaining a successful multi-doctoral and multi-discipline clinic.

He is married to his wife, Laurel, of 44 years and has one adult daughter.

He has coached baseball and soccer and enjoys cycling in his free time.
